WEEKENDS AT PINE KNOLLS

When we gather in corporate worship, we come together as God's people to attribute worth to Him and give glory to His name. True worship asks not, "What can I get from God" but rather "what can I give to God." Our weekend services are designed to worship God through song, responding to His timeless Word, and giving. It is a time to celebrate as a united assembly, recognizing and praising God for what He has done and what He will do in the future. Our Worship and Fine Arts Ministries help support corporate worship through music, drama, dance and other avenues.

Communion: Once a month we celebrate the redemptive power of our Lord's death and resurrection by sharing in Communion during our regular Worship Services.

Marking Milestones: Our weekend services are also a time to celebrate milestones in the lives of individuals - milestones such as Believer's Baptism or Child Dedication. Opportunities to take part in these occasions happen periodically throughout the year. Please watch the bulletin for signup opportunities or call the church office for more information.

CORE VALUES THAT GUIDE US

• We believe lost people matter to God and therefore matter to the church. Because of our concern for the lost, we must be culturally relevant while remaining doctrinally pure.
• We believe only God can transform people. Prayer emphasizes our reliance on God, invites His initiative and anticipates His intervention.
• We believe God-honoring worship is expressive, costly and participatory. God-honoring worship accurately declares God's character and energizes Christ's followers.
• We believe a church should operate as a body -- each individual contributing through the spiritual gifts God has given him.
• We believe loving relationships should permeate every aspect of church life. We believe life-change happens best in small groups.
• We believe full devotion to Christ and His cause is normal for every believer. We believe Christ-followers should manifest authenticity and yearn for continuous growth. Taking God-honoring steps of faith is necessary to building God's kingdom and helping us draw on the resources of the Holy Spirit.
• We believe God has revealed His character, plans and purposes through the Bible. It has been given to us to be studied and applied to our lives.
